I'm trying lots of raw food recipes, and most of them are delicious! When I find extra good ones, I like to share. These two are recipes I have made and everyone was pleased. They aren't mine, but they are going to become staples in our home.
Spring Rolls (recipe from Eat Smart, Eat Raw)
2 sprinkles garlic powder
small bunch parsley
1/2" fresh ginger
1/4 onion
3 oz cabbage
1 carrot
1/2 red bell pepper
3 oz mung bean sprouts
1 Tbs wheat - free tamari
1 Tbs raw apple cider vinegar
1 Tbs hone
2 Tbs sesame oil
6 lg romaine lettuce leaves (or more)
In food processor, combine garlic, parsley, ginger and onion. Next, grate cabbage, carrot and red bell pepper. Transfer everything apart from the lettuce leaves to a bowl and stir to combine. When the filling is ready, spoon into the lettuce leaves and roll up. Enjoy!
