raw paleo
For myself, I am finding it is an interesting balance, one which I am still trying to find. I recently read Aajonous Vonderplanitz's "Recipe for Living Without Disease", and then online, the first five chapters of his first book, "We Want to Live". It gave me much to think about. He follows the primal diet and is a raw omnivore. He stresses very much the importance of healing through lots of raw, grassfed fats and raw, grassfed flesh, unheated honey, and fresh vegetable juices. He takes very little fruit - like 1/2 cup per day. I know his style is what folks might consider way out there, but it resonates with me on some levels. I am still sorting out which ones.
