Winter can be so rough on our healing. Our liver function is depressed, our immune systems are a bit down, the body is more tired, lethargic, cold and flu season is everywhere.
I've learned some ways to protect myself and my family, and since sharing is caring, here we go! Tips and tricks for surviving winter on the Medical Medium protocols.
~ Immune system support: Of course we have to support our immune systems in winter. Elderberry syrup, Vitamin C, B12, Ionic Zinc, and goldenseal are just the basics, but are super important. Anthony on his Facebook live today said goldenseal should be taken 2 weeks on, two weeks off for three months, then a month off, then repeat if you're taking it long term. And always alcohol-free.

~ Liver supporting teas and juices: my printable recipe for liver tea, a liver juice of equal parts celery, apple and cucumber.
~ Liver supporting foods: lemons, papaya, figs, sprouts, dandelion, cherries, celery, lettuce, spinach, arugula, pistachios, tomatoes, watercress, aloe, pears, wild blueberries, broccoli, artichokes, burdock, spirulina, red clover, oranges, dates, apples, chaga, nettle leaf, asparagus, squash, garlic, mangoes, cranberries, tangerines
~ A good humidifier with a UV filter for indoor dry air - when it gets colder, the air tends to get drier - not just inside because the heat is on, but outside, too. A good humidifier becomes a must in winter.
~ Get the sun on your face, even if it's through a window. Fresh air is still important in winter, so try to get a few minutes a day if possible. And any time you can open windows to air out the house, do!
~ Warm showers and body butter: if you moisturize with body butter after a warm detox bath or shower, taking care to cover your whole body, it really helps seal the moisture in and keep you warm. I love the products made by Wholly Rooted. Anthony also recommends Living Libations and Muneeza has also recommended Herbal Heal by Moon Valley organics for dry, cracked skin repair.

~ Essential Oil Diffuser: rosemary, thyme, bergamot, sage. alternate oils, 1 hour in each room, preferably when room is unoccupied by humans or pets. Living Libations or Plant Therapy. No MLMs, they're not the quality they're made out to be.
~ Cooked foods in the evenings - Medical Medium Healing broth, thyroid healing broth, potatoes, sweet potatoes.
~ Rest more. Hibernate. Take naps if possible. Rest. Go to bed earlier.
~ Sunbeam heating pads: any one is great. Here's the one I want that looks like a cape.

~ Masks in public: if we all do it, it becomes normal like in Japan and China. We need to be practical about those germs and don't take on extra viral load if we can help it.
~ Wipes or hand sanitizer: eco friendly baby wipes and hand sanitizer kept in the car and in your bag to take anywhere. Wipe down handles, steering wheels, your cell phone. Keep the bugs away! And of course wash your hands frequently!
